Our Responsibility Toward God’s Word
Matthew 13:1-10

 

I. Understanding the Power of Words

   1. This is a  planet.

        Scripture: Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26

 

   2. God will hold us  for our words.

        Scriptures:     

 

   3. Our words have power to create  in the negative or the positive.

        Scripture:     

 

   4. God will hold us accountable for  Word.

II. The Preacher’s Responsibility Toward the Word of God

   1. To  the Word of God.

        Scripture:  

 

            A preacher’s walk and words must  together.

                Order of priorities for a preacher:

                    Priority 1: Love

                    Priority 2: Love  

                    Priority 3: Love

                    Priority 4: Love  

 

   2. To  the Word of God.

        Scriptures:     

 

   3. Preach  but the Word of God because it alone gives life.

        Scriptures:     

 

   4. The preacher must be  to preach the Word of God.

III. The People’s Responsibility Toward the Word of God

   1. Know the Word of God in your .

   2. Know those that  among you.

   3. Accept only  teaching and preaching.

IV. The Conclusion of the Matter

   1. What we receive and believe concerning God’s Word speaks to what we  God.

   2. What we receive and believe concerning God’s Word determines the life we  live.

        Examination of the heart (Matthew 13:1-10):

            Is my heart wayside soil (v4)?

            Is my heart a stony place (v5)?

            Is my heart a thorny place (v7)?

            Is my heart good ground (v8)?
