I. Connecting Thoughts Concerning Dysfunctional Families and Toxic People

   1. Severely toxic behavior is usually connected to growing up in a   family.

   2. All families have a  of dysfunction.

   3. Toxic families are a type of dysfunctional family, but not all   are toxic.

Dysfunctional families may struggle with communication, unhealthy boundaries, and conflict resolution. However, their behaviors are not always abusive or destructive. Conversely, toxic families are characterized by harmful behaviors that damage the emotional and psychological well being of family members.
