Love: Passion or Promise?
Proverbs 18:22   Ephesians 5:25-33

 

I. Everything in the Kingdom of God is Built Upon, Blessed and Sustained Through Covenant

II. The Invasion of the "isms"

   Ism: a distinctive , or ; manner of  or  characteristic of a specified person or thing.

  1. : The claim that different cultures have different, but perfectly legitimate and equally valid standards of truth and value.
  2. : The truth of a concept is to be evaluated by its practical consequences in human affairs.
  3. : Values are not universal, but instead each must create his or her own values as a result of living.
  4. : The highest values are aesthetic rather than ethical or religious.
  5. : There are no privileged viewpoints and objective knowledge is effectively unattainable.
  6. : Emphasis on the freedom and rights of the individual.
  7. : A political movement that attempts to push society away from established practices (thus in opposition to conservatism)

   All of these "isms" have been poured into a poisonous pot that has created a "cauldron of  " in the Body of Christ.

III. How the Worldly Cauldron of Culturalism Has Affected Family Covenant

  1. is right and good outside the bonds of marriage.

  1. It's a woman's job to  a man.

  1. Belief that people from broken and dysfunctional families have no hope for a good .

IV. The Conclusion of the Matter

  1. There must be a   when it comes to men and how we should operate as Kingdom Men.

         Scripture:  

  1. The foundation on which  is built must be restored.

        Three things that must be rediscovered in our definition of love:

          1) The  of Love: What is real love supposed to look like? What is it's foundation?

          2) The  of Love: What is love supposed to feel like?

          3) The  of Love: What is the legacy your love is reflecting? Does it reflect the culture around you more than the Christ within you?
